Guys,

just how much power does the TBS add? Sounds like a relatively cheap mod.

Well, I like mine. Hatch installed it for me last night, and we took it out for a test spin. I also drove it to work this morning, and it is a definite improvement. The throttle lag has improved so much.

BTW, the spacer does add a slight whistle with a short ram intake. I can notice it, especially at higher rpms.

Yeah, it does whistle. I think it's funny.

Dustin-you won't regret it!

Placed my order. Blue is ugly, I'll just paint the outside of it with black high temp barbeque paint

FYI I think you can strip anodizing by soaking it in baking soda and water. Trouble is it eats down the aluminum slightly and opens up all the dimensions. I wouldn't recommend this unless you were going to have it re-anodized.

where and how much

I hope they mask the spacer off to only coat the parts that are visible. You wouldn't want to coat the inside or the two big flat front and back faces.

Didn't coat the insides so not to interfer with the airflow grooves, but coating the flat faces should have no effect on sealing the gaskets, it's heat resistant up to 400 degrees, and smooth as glass.

I'll get some pics on the car later.

Here's a pic of the spacer and cover, and the cover on the trunk for color comparison. A lot more metal flake than stock, but should look good under a dark hood.

Local Pensacola powder coater, charges $65 for the covers, $20 for the spacer, and got it done in a couple of days.

If interested in getting your cam covers powder coated with a factory Ford core set for no down time in switching, it's $35 more plus shipping. PM for details.

would you even need a TB spacer. There is one new TB coming out (BBK). Doesn't the tune take care of the throttle lag?

Just wondering?

Will they do the covers in the old Ford dark blue engine color? That would look awesome...

Jewl's car has a tune, but the TB still helps out with the throttle lag. The tune helped out a LOT with a throttle lag, but the TB takes care of the rest. A great combo, and for the 95 bucks, it's worth it.

Check PM's. I've seen a couple of different Ford Blues, so post a pic and I'll see if he has something close.

I too, have an intake with the T/B Spacer and a tune, and its a fantastic combo! No throttle lag, completely gone, but it was completely gone b4 I got the tune, the T/B Spacer is well worth the investment.

I got my spacer in yesterday. Autoanything's free 2 day fedex shipping turned into a free 7 day anonymous freight carrier shipping. Beggar's can't be choosers I guess. Anyway I am spray painting the spacer black now with 1200 degree black oven paint. I'll put some pics up later in a new thread.

Let me guess... DHL. They are by far the worst.
