I had one on my '05 auto GT. Gain of absolute zero on the dyno ( also tried a bigger TB and got a 1hp gain, woot!). I tried to convince myself it had no benefit at all, took it off and felt more lag, put it on and definitely had less throttle lag. Did that several times to convince myself, on my auto, it gave better throttle response with it on there, and I was a huge skeptic. Gas mileage, never really checked it. It didn't whistle, but the Airaid I had on my Dakota (came with it when I bought it) did whistle and actually robbed a few hp and no difference in hp, but that's a different vehicle altogether.

I think hes telling you that to get you to buy it. As for the last part is BS.

I wish companies that dedicate themselves to do dyno tuning would post HP gains of different parts. ie, it would be great if Livernois really gained 12 RWHP with a TB spacer, that they would post before/after dyno sheets.

BTW, I got the Granatelli TB, brand new, for $160 shipped! PM me if interested.

One more thing I forgot to mention. They will give you a small (borderline tiny) increase in low end torque. I found this before/after dyno comparison on a Ford Super Duty v-10. They gained 2.3HP and 7.8ft*lb. http://www.truckblog.com/story-444-f...e_body_spacers If you can find them for under a $100 they are worth it. I don't really see how different manufacturers can have an edge, as they are really all the same and its not an item that needs to be made out of a super high caliber metal either.

Had one on a 1996 Silverado w/ a 305, whistled alot but no felt gain, waste of money. I bet they would benifit a larger displacement engine, like that v-10 mentioned above but your compairing a 6.8l to a 4.6l. You can only do so much before a little 281 runs out of breath. Save your money for a mod that will do some good like CMDP are in that price range or better yet Get FI.
