I was at the track this past friday, and there was a white 2005/6 mustang gt with a supercharger. Dont know the boost levels, or any of his mods, but you could hear it whining like a baby that got its candy taken away.

Anyway, i was suprised to see that it was running low 13s and 1 high 12 second run that i saw. It was a manual transmission. I was kind of curious what you guys were seeing with your supercharged gt's. I was hoping that it would at least be a low to mid 12 second car on a consistent basis. The track wasnt in the greatest of shape, i was only runnin 2.3 60' and i usually run 2.1 But i did hit a 14.65 with my v6 with just tune and intake because it was 'chilly' outside.

Just seems odd that he was running as slow as he was. Im pretty sure with a tlok and a s/c i could get into the 13.5 range.

On a side note, vince was there with his 1200hp viper and couldnt get traction even at 90mph lol. He ran between 11.4 and 14.1 (ouch!) but was trapping just a hair under 138mph lol.

Probably the same problem with the stang. You answered your own question. Or he just sucks at driving.

There is a huge difference between a 1200rwhp viper not getting traction and a 370rwhp mustang not getting traction.

He's probably got more power than that. If he had stock tires he would have zero traction. I had serious traction problems with just intake/exhaust and a tune.

Firebird Raceway I presume?

Was he granny shifting? Was traction his main problem?

It's defineately not the heat right now, our cars should be running like raped apes in this great weather.

Thanks for the kind words...haha

It wasn't so much the track, early in the night anyway. It was just a conservative tune, car had no timing in it.

I thought a 12.72 @ 111 wasnt too bad considering.

But, it put down 460hp and 425tq the next morning at ADC with a new tune (remembers to lower the rev limit....)

It was running consistant 13.1's with 2.3x 60's... Once I stopped launching like a puss, it did a 2.02 60' hence the 12.72. Sorry if I didnt impress you, but like I said it was just a baseline.

Before I took the blower off for a while, for drivability issues on the old tune, it put down 430hp and 381tq (never ran it though). So with the new tune + Autolite HT0's gapped at 0.036 (made a gapper at work ) I guess it picked up some torque.

I'll be happy with a 12.5x @ like 114, on our ~91 AZ gas.

If you guys come out this Friday, cruise over and say whats up, I have only met one other '05 owner.

Take 'er easy guys,
Brad

If you're going to track, get Nitrous and get hooked. Much more bang for the buck. S/C are great, that's what my plan is for the spring, but do these first then go to s/c.

Lidio from Alternative Auto was able to hit 11.9x with his Vortech (12.5 psi boost) and on 20 inch street tires! His GT is an automatic... He then added methonal (and bumped to 13.5 psi) and was in the 11.2x range... again on street tires...

JDM has an auto with the Saleen SC into the 11.90's also (at 10psi). They are looking for 11.50s with a fuel system upgrade.

CASP3R that was yours? very nice car though i loved when u pulled up in the lanes and i could hear the whine from your hood lol. And yes i was impressed, i could tell you were hooking pretty bad (my 60ft times were horrible that night too). But were ya power shifting? It didnt sound like it cuz i couldnt hear your tires barking very much.

I actually got a low quality video of you racing that old red chevy that was there, man did that thing hook off the line, and you almost caught him.

I might be at the track tonight, so maybe ill see ya there
