As the title says, I'm thinking about picking up either the pypes H or X pipe. I live in MD and did a little searching on their emissions inspection program, here is what I found on their site..

On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) Test
1996 or newer model year vehicles weighing 8,500 pounds or less and equipped with a computer controlled engine and fuel system

"Instead of testing your vehicle’s exhaust, your emissions test will involve scanning your vehicle's computer for emission control malfunctions. During an on-board diagnostics scan, a lane inspector will connect to your vehicle's computer through a connector under the dashboard to determine the presence of recorded “trouble codes” that illuminate the “check engine” light on the instrument panel. Vehicles with an illuminated “check engine” light automatically fail the emissions test."

What do I have to do to keep the computer happy so the emissions inspector doesnt see any "trouble codes?"

Also, which one do you guys recommend, X or H? My only exhaust mods right now are my flowmasters.

The new r28 revision for Diablo has a new ODBII menu that lets you turn off the emission sensors, preventing you from throwing codes Problem solved, update your predator.

You should be more concerned about not passing inspection because you have no catalytic convertors. Unless maybe if you tape a $50 under the car to distract the inspector's eyes.

I assume you're buying the Pype from Brenspeed. Ask Brent what he recommends.
