Are their any hood clearance issues using a stock GT hood with a Saleen S/C !

I just recently purchased an 06 GT that came with a Saleen S/C but noticed there's a slight hood clearance issue in which there's a 1/8 inch gap above the fender line but only on the driver's side when fully closed..

I am still using the stock GT hood and also have the C&L racer intake in which the inlet tube portion that's attached to the throttle body is also making slight contact with the hood blanket..

What I don't understand is just the driver's side is where the hood gap seems to be just 1/8 inch higher above the fender line, but the passenger side lines up perfectly..

If anybody can provide any type of feedback and support, I'd truly appreciate it very much.. Thanks, Rocky

Install some Prothane motor mounts. They should drop your motor enough to take care of your clearance issues.

That's what I've been thinking as well Bob.. I know that JDM engineering has them and Steeda also carries adjustable mounts as well..

But here's also what I don't quite understand though.. Even after I uninstalled the entire cold air intake and removed the heat shield.. There was still a bit of a gap on the driver's side after closing the hood, but not quite as much though..

The only other scenario I can think of, is if the hood is also making contact with the throttle body itself enough to cause the hood to not line up.. But then again, I still don't understand why it's only on the driver's side that has the gap in it
