TCS Question ??

To you folks that are familiar to the Mustang this may sound like a crazy question, but as I have never owned a vehicle with traction control before, and don't have my Mustang yet, here goes........

With the button on the dash, is the traction control lockout a momentary/temporary thing, or will it stay locked out till you re-enable it with the switch ?

It will stay locked out until you re-engage it with the button.... or until you shut the car off and restart it, which then will reset the TC to normal operation (always on unless manually turned off).

Thanks. I was hoping it was more than a momentary thing. One might want to "play" a little longer than a few seconds. hehe

Well then please do take someone with you so it will not look like you were playing with your self and it works very well on the wet surface's.

I turn mine off all the time, unless it's raining.

Innuendo aside, why would you only get to "play" for a few seconds? It doesn't come back on by itself.

Yeah, but till I asked I thought maybe it was momentary. Now I know it stays off till it is reset by either the switch, or a shut-down / re-start.

Which actually makes the most logical sense, but ya never know with modern vehicles. hehe

Mine came back on its own once, I figured it only allowed you to have it shut off for a certain period of time, I'll have to double check that when Im out an about tomorrow

I wish it was off all the time or untill you wanted to enable it.

Product liability?
If you forget to turn it back on and someone else drives the car, they may assume the TC is on.
