TCI AUTO's new GT Automatic Rachet Shifter, shown in SEMA
same here 427, can get alot more done for my stang than just the autushifter, that like stated before doesn't add much in the way of power. I think the going consensus is price around 300-350 it will sell, otherwise thanks for the great product , but no thanks at that price
Maybe after it is on the market for a while well see some drop in price. I have an auto as thats what i could get my hands on and im definetly interested in this! I am still somewhat confused as to how its sooo different. I understand the basics and the pulll ring but is their still probability for damage to the transmission? I think this thing would look pretty sweet in my stang...
I received an email back from LMP and they've decided to lower the price down to $639 (from $669). My understanding is that they don't have much profit margin to lower it anymore, but if TCI is saying $427, then I'm really confused as to who is paying what.
As much as I have liked having ratchet shifters in previous cars that I've drag raced, I have yet to miss a single manual shift - or get hung up between gears - in my 07 GT. So for me, this was more of an asthetic modification that offers a bit of insurance at the track. In the end, though, I'm still insistent that this is worth no more than $350 to me to justify it for what little it does.

And I thought 300$ for my MGW shifter for the 3650 was steep!
This looks pretty interesting... I'd like to see the price drop before I get serious about buying it.
Also, I never manual shift in my Auto... does it harm the tranny at all? Lets say that I shift from 1st to 2nd, I should not have my foot planted on the gas right? (this auto tranny shifting is foreign to me) Can someone clear this up for me PLEASE! What is the proper way to drive the car by shifting the auto manually- accelerating/decelerating, etc etc
thanks guys!

Once TCI brings pricing down to $300, I'm in. You can buy a ratchet shifter for just about any mainstream automatic transmission in the $175-$250 range, so why they want so much for theirs is beyond me.
And, like others have mentioned, I have to be able to disable or enable overdrive, so an OD on/off button is critical.
I manually shift my 5R55S at the dragstrip at 6,500 rpm's with no concerns about reliability. The actual wear and tear on the trans is no different whether you shift it manually or let it shift itself via leaving it in "drive."

well, you can let off the gas when you shift (I don't know why?) but if you want to go fast that would be a counter-productive idea.
like from say 3rd to drive? The only reason i ask is because i havt the frpp stingers and i noticed that in third thew are alot more quiet so when i leave the neighborhood i drive in 3rd then switch to drive one im out on the road. Do we have anyone whos actually in with the company making it? id like to ask some more questions but we dont seem to be getting much response here.
