When I first got my K&N, I didn't have a tuner and couldn't use a JLT or any other intake which required a tune. Now I have the Diablo, but still can't tune my K&N because Diablo broke their promise for a free K&N tune.
The thing that got me thinking was the latest 5.0 article which rated the JLT at 15hp higher than the K&N
.
I guess my biggest question is, if I buy a JLT, does it come with a free Diablo tune?

You could just get a custom tune for probably a similar amount of money. The canned tune is working fine for me, running low 13's with a K&N and canned tune is good enough for those 2 mods I think.

The easiest way to get the JLT-specific tune and JLT intake may be to purchase the intake in a package with the tuner. Since you already have a Diablo tuner it would be silly to buy another tuner so I'm thinking your next best solution might be to purchase the intake and see if the vendor will cut you a deal on just the tuner files. I suspect that there'll be a charge associated with the files in the $50 to $100 range.

I paid $75 for a canned tune from Brent @DTP racing for a 92 octane tune. The tune rocks, couldn't be happier.
The thing with the predator though is you have to download the the factory tune that is already in the car then send it off to a tuner to be modified for the JLT pipe. You'll get it back via email then download the modified tune to your car.
I don't think it's possible the have a custom tune just sent to you without you sending the original stock tune to be modified first.
