Superchargers and PCV Valves
I have a ProCharger S/C and in the installation manual it tells us to cap off the PCV value on the driver's side CAM cover. Then, it has us run a vacuum line from a connection on the passenger side CAM cover to the air new air filter, in which I added a oil separator in the middle of the run.
Here is why I ask: I am getting a lot of oil in the air filter since the rebuild of the motor, causing lean code P0171 and P0174 (oily MAF) and idle issues (rich idle chocking). <- This I wil have fixed today.
I have heard / read from others that I MUST have the PCV value in use. God Idea or not ? My engine builder, Houston Performance, recommend hooking it back up.
