Sorry if this is a silly question! When a supercharger is installed, is there a need for CAI or does the supercharger replace the CAI. Can you have both or just one or the other?

I have never put one on befor or run one on a car for that matter, however from looking at the two that I have been considering (kenne bell or whipple) it appears that each will use and in some cases even include, a CAI. If you look at the kenne bell page you can find CAI under accessories and get an idea of how the two work together.

a supercharger kit will include the intake that is suited to the suercharger a twin screw type charger will have a more conventional looking cai while a centrifugal will have a short little thing

I'm looking at the Whipple, so I just need to look into that particular one when it's available. Thanks

Agreed, I bought the Underdrive pullies and the SCT and probably would have bought a CAI if Steeda had one available. I'm not going to get a CAI and will be waiting for the S-charger to be available. I will be saving everything factory that I take off for whatever may come about down the road. The underdrive pullies and SCT are for now-I don't expect a Charger to be available for another few months. If possible, I will try to utilize the SCT, even though the Blowers has it's own tune, while on a dyno. If not, I will sell them both (Udrive/SCT). Your .02 are well spent though, I don't want to waste too much money when I know the big picture I'm looking for! Thanks

looking at the blower manufacturers info for past years it looks like you can get substantial HP increases with the stock motor and even more if you change rods and pistons so I would say they will have something for every one
