So it looks like you're right about where I was at with the crappy base Predator Tune. Has yours been tuned or are you still using the "base tune"? So far I'm at about an extra 60rwhp just changing the Tune and TB. More tweaks to come tomorrow, but I'm keeping this "safe" on 91 Octane.

subzero05 - Good point, if it was free I'd take it too! Let us know how it turns out for you. Inquiring minds want to know...
Mine has been cutom tuned with a "safe" 93 octane tune. I was using a canned tune but with a S/C a custom tune is a must. I was thinking of installing a 62mm throttle body but I am not sure how much it will benefit me.

Here's a cool video of two '05 GTs running Vortechs.

Shame one dude had to go and ruin a poor, defenseless supercharged mustang by putting ricer-oni neon lights on the underside.

WTF!?!

Turbo for racing applications, twin screw for street use. I'm not really sure where this misinformation about centrifugals is coming from, but centris are not as powerful as an efficient twin screw, and I'm not sure why you would want an S/C in the first place if you are worried about controlling the power of your car. JMO though!

I have the non intercooled vortech kit. That one in the pic is the I/c with and additional ice chill system that as far as I know vortech does not offer.I will be upgrading ot the I/c system within the month however.
Vortech has two water boxes available for the 2005 Mustang GT. One is the smaller box that comes in their H.O kit. They also have an upgraded tank for racing applications. This optional larger tank mounts in the factory battery location (must move the battery to trunk). It has a large quick fill neck for ice. This larger tank is the one shown in the picture that was previously posted.

Yep, blanket statements like that always kill me. I've had both types of superchargers and turbos. They all have pros and cons!

turbo for racing applications? why?
Turbos are the best solution (most efficiant) why would it be for racing only

Im waiting for the Kenne Bell. Just got an e-mail from them saying it may still be a couple of months. Even though they have had articles about the 05 KB in all the magazines. Also saw this post
SVT Perfromance Hope its not much longer.
My son has a 1.7 KB kit on his 00GT (that I installed) and the low end torque is unreal. Every time I ride in it I know I gortta have one.
But the centrifugals and twin screws each have their positives and negatives just read up and decide what you like best.

Realdeal,
I'd be interested in your opinion of each type of supercharger (screw and centrifugal) and their pros and cons. I have a year to decide.....

think about how many cars are factory supercharged vs how many are factory turboed, turbos are the way to go for reliability and longevity (of coarse tuned correctly)

And also think about what kind of cars are factory TCed, and which ones are factory SCed. I got a V8, not a 4-cyl or 6-cyl sportcompact car... a supercharger is the only way to go for me.

I have no problem with you having a preference for turbos, but most of us don't share that preference. No matter how often you chime in on the "virtues" of turbos, it won't change my mind. I'd rather be blown...

Besides, I don't like the way a TC sounds... just my 2 cents.

I've emailed Saleen three times asking questions. ZERO response. Makes you go "hmmmm"
Same here but 4 different emails.
I ended up calling them...three times now...and spoke to someone each time.
