I have the saleen supercharger. let me tell you it makes great power but not tire spinning "roasting" at 2000rpm. you won't spin the tires. I do know my 70mph gas milage was 26mpg. Now 70mph best i get is 18mph. they tell me because it's producing boost at 2000rpm. that part is disappointing. I have nothing but good things about quality/performance/instructions about saleen. although i have emailed them about my hp numbers and never got a email back. than i called there hotline and i a machine and they call back within 24hours. although their product if great there custumer service is "lacking"

So a centrifical supercharger will put less stress on the engine? I like the new vortech kit, do centrifical and twin screw have the same amount of whiny noise? Centrifical is closer to a twin turbo? Are there any twin turbo kits for the mustang?

ultimate turbo is working on a TT setup but it is not avail yet.A centrifugal kit (I have the vortech) will put less stress on the motor than a twin screw because you are not under any boost pressure until you get up into the RPM range, whereas a twin screw is under boost pressure basically at all rpm ranges.I prefer the centrifugal style better in my situation because I spend alot of time on the freeway

My buddy's shop has installed 2 vortech kits on the auto and has no issues with the tranny whatsoever. The car is as docile as stock with the blower on the car when you are just cruising around town or on the hwy.The blower itself is very quiet compared to a couple of the others I've heard,so if you are looking to retain the stock drivability of the car in day to day use I highly recommend this kit.If you decide to pull the trigger on the kit and get one ordered, let me know first as I can probably get you a better price than anyone else would give, because of my connections with Vortech

Check my sig for the latest "dyno" numbers. I'm at 437rwhp. This is on the stock 9psi Paxton kit (same as Vortech) with no intercooler. The only change so far is that I'm not using the Predator Tune and have switched to the SCT. The retail on this kit is $3899 I believe. I'm going back to dyno further on Tuesday since we couldn't figure out all the new perameters.
As far as driveability, the car drives like stock. The only way you can tell it's not stock is by the 4.10's winding up and/or running through the gears quicker (oh, and that little bit of blower whine!).
I'm not sure what others are seeing with their blowers. Anyone out there have dyno numbers on a Saleen kit or anything else?

I have the non intercooled vortech kit. That one in the pic is the I/c with and additional ice chill system that as far as I know vortech does not offer.I will be upgrading ot the I/c system within the month however.

I could see how that could be a factor weedo, but Vortech is helping me out on a deal for the I/C upgrade since they use my car for show displays etc..So I would never want to pass that up =)

I have the Saleen S/C running 4.5lbs of boost and I have 380hp and 360tq. I have been waiting to run a smaller pulley to see about reliability but 8lbs seems safe so that is in my future.

subzero05 - Good point, if it was free I'd take it too! Let us know how it turns out for you. Inquiring minds want to know...

I think I will go ahead and get a new TB and add it onto the car with the I/c upgrade at the same time and re-tune to see where I am at.I'll post some updated pics once it is all finished

Do you have an Auto or Manual? Which intake are you using? Thanks
