To Supercharge or not to Supercharge...what else will need changing?
I'm not a track guy, I don't drag race, and only AutoX once in a while, but I wan't the FRPP/Whipple SC ($6900 installed by my Ford dealer)....if I'm being honest with myslef it's probably a defensive move against the pesky SC'd 350Z's, tweeked LS1 Camaro's/Firebirds, and the odd C6 Vette, etc that I find on the road...
The question is, what will go kablammo as a result of the extra 200 flywheel hp over stock? Clutch is probably a given over time...but used as a DD how often will I need to change plugs? And what about the rear end...I repeat, I'm NOT dumping the clutch repeatedly from 4000 rpm....yes I'll probably accelerate aggressively every day, but that will be a "roll-on-to-the-throttle" kind of acceleration.
Thanks

Most blower combos will included colder plugs, injectors, etc. For a daily driver you won't need to worry about the rear end, but yes over time (some sooner some later) you will need a clutch. The critical part for any blower is a custom tune- must be done on a dyno by a shop that knows what they're doing.

More than 5... but drag tires are considered expendable. I don't want them to last forever... that would mean I'm not racing.

Yep tires are a good point, I guess I just took it for granted that they were a necessity but its true, a good set of rear tires are needed.......
only if you want to go in a straight line, that is!! LOL! Spinnin' ain't winnin'!
