I have been toying with Supercharging my car for the last week or so. I have a few of the "better" N/A mods and really can't do much more without spending quite a bit of money. I have been looking at the Saleen, Whipple, and Procharger. My goal would be to put out 420-450 rwhp. Now this is a daily driver, which sees all kind of weather(Yes, snow). How many of you guys use your supercharged stang as daily drivers. Also, below is a list of items I feel I would need with the Supercharger, please critique or add something I might have missed. Give me any input into your likes and dislikes of the particular kit you own.

-Supercharger...Obviously
-Clutch....How much HP can the OEM clutch hold? What are my options?
-Gauges....Boost and Wideband 02 with datalogging capabilitues.
-Rims and Tires.....Need some wide tires to put the power down.

I think Kenne Bell said the stock clutch went at 535.

I'm in the same boat. I don't drive this car much. It's more of a toy, but I don't want to blow it up.

I think your best bet is the Saleen. It's the most efficient of the twin screws out there. Mine should be arriving in the next couple of days. Along with that I'll be adding the JDM kit (90mm MAF, 39# injectors, tune). This puts out about 430rwhp at only 4psi! Imagine what you can make with an 8psi pulley. And JDM has a 6 and an 8 pound pulley available for the Saleen as well. Also, my car is a daily driver, only there's no snow here in SoCal to worry about. I fully intend to daily drive it with the blower. These low boost levels will be very engine friendly and will keep the internal motor parts....internal. Add a decent exhaust you will have a great foundation for a very fast car. FWIW.

Thanks for the input. I saw JDMs numbers and they are impressive. I already have an OR x-pipe, which is all I would do for exhaust.

I am picking up my car today with the vortech kit on it and for the most part it will be a daily driver.I drive about 60 mi to work a day, so I will TRY not to beat on it too much. There are literally thousands of SC'ed stangs out there as daily drivers today (granted not many 05's), but I really can't imagine ford taking a step back on engine reliability on the 05 when they know how many consumers SC the mustangs.Plus, IMO if you don't abuse the car everything should be good to go for a long time.
