The right supercharger with the right tune will feel like a n/a engine.
The Saleen SC with the 475 flywheel tune and adding 373 gears, pulls evenly and very predictably through out the entire rpm range.
It takes at least two years to figure out exactly how to design these tunes with different brands of superchargers. They're just getting masterful right now for the technology that was put into play for the 05' and up.
People are way too critical on these things before they get good. I've got an 8lb tune now on my Saleen from JDM, and get very early and predictable power all the way through, with down shifting and re- accelerating. It does take a little time to control the power. Frankly from the last year of being supercharged, I don't see any reason for a street Mustang GT to have need of any more than 410 or so rearwheel HP. Street tires and inconsistancies in the road surface seem to nulify and additiona HPl benefit in my opinion for street. Open highway, I guess 460 rwhp is nice, if it's clear and open.

JUst bolt on a twin screw and you will be very happy. I am running a KB 2.4 at 10 PSI and I have smoked some Z06 vettes at the track.
The only way to go on these lil 4.6 motors is forced induction!

I feel ya, Tom, but I think that as long as we stick to conservative tunes and have a reputable shop do the work, we should be ok.
I'm thinking ~400rwhp - at least until I can build up the motor!
Anyhow, let's get real, that's plenty of power to handle MOST challengers out there.

Rob is right..... 350-400whp is plenty for most of the light to light challengers out there.
If you decide to do the work/install yourself, pleaselet me know.. I'll help out.

I installed mine myself,first one I have ever did. my installation took longer than most ,because I took digital pictures of the complete installation, complete from start to finish. and I also had to cut to fit stainless braided Spectreperformance hoses, all hoseing ,which was in large rolls was provide by Spectreperformance. The instructions are pretty straight forward,but would have been better if they where printed in color. With the charge cooler you will have to take off the front bumper cover ,which isn't that hard either. If you need any info ,just pm me? 
But if you want a shop to do it ,then price is probly about right if not more. Your looking about 10-12 hrs to install and thats a pro doing it. It took me longer ,but I took my time and had to take pictures.plus I changed out the hoses that came with the kit ,for the stainless hoses.Each hose I messured and cut it on a chop saw.I didn't piece together any hoses. Very time consuming.

I'm handy but not handy enough to do supercharger install . The only reason I thought the price was a little high was because they orginally quoted me at 300-400 for the non-intercooled kit. I called back a different day and talked to a different guy about the intercooled kit and he told me $850 for the install. I couldn't see why the price would double with just the intercooler but I guess it's a lot of work and i'll have to suck it up.
