STS Single Turbo?

Hey everyone, Happy New Year! I'm just curious if anyone has an experience with the STS Single Turbo Kit? Its something new from what everyone has... Just wanted to know if its worth the price or the effort of caring for it? Thanks

Any reason for going with a rear mount over a normal turbo kit? If you don't have a good one don't spend the extra time or money.

The rear mounted turbo is supposed to keep heat out of the engine compartment and not add weight to the front end. I think on a show car or a pleasure car that it might be worth looking into. I would think that it would be a problem on a DD that gets driven in the rain, snow, slush, etc.

on the V6 they seem to make about 65% of the power the powerhose turbo makes, and is more expencive

I saw an STS turbo on a previous generation 4.6 2V GT at a Formula Drift event in Long Beach last year. The car was super-fast and screamed. I don't recall if it was a single or twin turbo setup but it was pretty impressive.

Somone is selling there kit with everything needed for a good price...... Are they really that bad? lol Is it because where the turbo is located that it wont make as much power?
