looking for a strut tower brace, preferably one with some clearance to fit over a plenum cover, any recommendations? best pricing? thanks--i am thinking it should be staple equipment for a vert...

The BMR may let one fit too...I dont have a cover so I dont know. I went BMR because I have other parts from them, price was good, and my car is black and I wanted some red under the hood

I like my BMR.... But like you said the engine cover became an issue. I had to have the BMR shaved in the rear and the front cross bar crushed a little in order to make it oval shaped. The results came out pretty good...
Let me know what you think

Its plain but it works. Got the Steeda single bar and took it to a machine shop to have brackets welded under the attachment plates to allow a little more clearance and have the middle section of the bar compressed a little into an oval shape. Then painted it the body color

Steeda billet is nice, but ultra expensive.
I have the FRPP one.
Can't say whether it clears the intake cover.....hope so.. as I want the Ford one.

I don't know about the Ford cover but the FRPP doesn't fit over the Midwest cover. I tried and it caused the cover to bow in and rub on the outside edges.
As far as putting spacers or washers under the brace I think I read that loads the bolts too much, not sure on that though.

If the BMR rubs the midwest one, how about the BBK one? I thought a while back, BMR ones did not rub the midwest one? this was back 2 or 3 forum crashes ago.
Can any one post any pics for us?

i believe putting washers underneath the brace to raise it up for a plenum defeats some of the functional purpose of the brace.
not 100% sure but check with your company before doing this, or check older threads
