Stock tires on DD 18x9 wheels - This is how it looks!

I was a bit concerned about how the car would look when I had 18x9 DD wheels put on from American Racing. I am pleasantly surprised. I think the tires hold there own. True, they are a little over matched but they will work for now and they look good. Hope this helps anyone out there interested in this popular wheel from American Racing but does not have the dough to get wider tires.

I ran the stock 18 tires on my dd wheels for a short time.Oddly enough the car drove really nice on the smaller tires. I ended up installing 255/45/18's on all four's(18x9's), then I went to the larger 18x10's on the rear with 295/45/18's.

I have 18x9 dd bullitts from AM and I run 275/40s on all four corners. Could probably do a 285 on all four, but that's getting pretty wide on the front. 275s up front fit perfectly... also is what the Roush cars come with I believe.....

Some pix are in my car domain site, in my signature below......

Thanks for the heads up Tom. Car looks great as always. 275/40 really fits well and I love the look. I want to get the same size on all corners.

I hope that size works with the Eibach pro kit?!

Tom, how do your Nitto's grip with the S/C - 4.10 set up?

I have Steeda sport springs in the back, stock springs up front. I love the wheel/tire combo... very happy with them. The Nittos hook well on easy acceleration, but once the revs hit around 4000+ rpm they go up in smoke in first gear, and will continue to burn into 3rd with good speed shifting. But, that's to be expected really with any street tire at high power levels; all things considered I'm really happy with them.
