Steeda vs Granatelli UDPs
Steeda vs Granatelli UDPs
Hi guys,
I recently ordered a set of Steeda UDPs for my '07 GT/CS. Thing is, when the package arrived, it contained the Granatelli UDPs!
Now, as I live in the UK, shipping back to the seller is a pain (for us both), so do I just stick with the Granatellis and ask for discount (they're cheaper than the Steeda's by some margin) - or send them back and insist on the Steeda's?
Can't seem to find a definitive 'which is better' anywhere and I insist on the best for my ride
I did read (albeit from Granatelli) that their version of the UDPs are closer to the OEM weight, so are less likely to cause wear issues with timing chain etc. (though I can't see how that would happen anyway)?
Anyone able to proffer advice? I know we all tend to be brand loyal - but I need to consider some logistical practicalities too.
Also, before anyone says 'contact the seller and tell them to replace and give them what for etc.' - they've been excellent about it and are willing to do whatever I want re. replacement with the Steedas or credit for the difference.
Thanks

that is the first I heard of the "wear issue" bit. I have Steeda on mine, dont know much about the Grans and their quality. They burst on the scene about a year ago with 05 stuff, by then I was well done with other products.
I can't say Gran stuff is good or bad but Steeda is the only manufacturer to work directly with Ford for product development from the get go. Steed races with their equipment. I don't think Gran has a racing team, do they?
Steeda's a very trustworthy name, and have been making quality parts for over 20 yrs now, you get what you pay for, you pay a little more you get a little better product, which will be worth it in the end
I know its a pain but I would get the Steeda stuff.
