What kind of gains can I expect from installing underdrive pulleys? Thanks.

No horsepower gain what so ever. They have nothing to do with performance. They are all about economics. They make the vehicle run easier which increases fuel mileage and also extends the life of the motor........or at least that was what I told my wife when she came home earlier than expected from work and busted me installing mine

I disagree. By changing the ratio of the pullies (hence drag), you free parasitic loss, thereby increasing rear wheel horsepower. So gains can be seen. If no gains were ever seen, noone would buy them.

Now there is an example of "Married diplomacy" if I ever heard one. I've got to try some of that!

Just remember to not play that card too often. It worked for the UDPs, didn't fly so well with the CAI. And I think when I do the water pump replacement I won't even look up when she asks "What are you doing to it now?"

Tell her there is a TSB out for defective water pumps... and you just decided to upgrade because of the long hot Texas summer ahead of you!

TSB's work well for masking mods.

Her - "Why don't you have the dealership do it?"

Me - "Because they are only open until noon on Satursday's and I have yardwork to do."

We need a new sticky thread, I think we're an inch away from forming a support group here.
