Question Steeda Ultra Lites???

Okay...so I have a set of these sitting in my living room. I'm planning on installing them soon but have a question. How many people with these springs had to actually get the camber bolts installed?

I had them done by a friend, and he said they were barely out of spec before he did any aligning, so the cam bolts weren't needed.

For those of you who did it yourselves, how hard was it. I am looking to get these as well and was just wondering what I would be getting myself into.

Thanks

I watched my mechanic do it. If I had his tools I could have done it myself. An air gun makes using the spring compressor much easier.
Although many people will argue with me, you should pick up an adjustable panhard bar to keep the axle center. After installing the springs I could see the rear axle was off to one side. I installed the Steeda panhard bar and it fixed the problem.

Spring compression... the one thing I always let the tech's do! I need my limbs and fingers! LOL

Ryan, you're absolutely correct on the Panhard bar correcting the axle offset.

Haha, just got an allignment today. Camber was -1.2 and -1.5 which will help cornering ability but won't affect tire ware. Toe will need to be adjusted though like others have said. Also, I have the added weight of the SC on the front.

For those with the panhard bar, is this more of a cosmetic thing or does it actualy have some performance properties?

TacoBill's instructions are great. If you want to know if you think you can do it, look there.
The panhard bar does help performance. Your car will track better with the rear end center and I noticed the rear end being a little more stable during really hard cornering with the Steeda bar.

Panhard bar? Who manufactures these? Are they called something else on the steeda page?

I heard BMR makes a good one.

About 1/2 way down the page.

I'd install your springs first to see if you even require it.

We stock the BMR ones, and found those to be great quality, and the best functioning, plus the price is GREAT!
