Hello Gang! I have a steeda shifter in my 05 GT. I got a new steeda shift ****, My queston is how does the factory **** come off the factory boot? I sure it is simple but I am having a lttle Trouble. So I am asking the best for the answer. Thanks, Driver

Just pull the boot down and unscrew it counter clockwise.

Thanks wild stray, I will try that,I did not want to strech the boot out of shape, once the **** is off is it two pieces?

The **** is just one piece and you might need to secure the shaft a little while removing it the first time so it doesn't turn on you. Remove the boot carefully and it should slide down O.K. Been quite a while since I removed mine, but I don't remember having much of a problem with it.
