I spoke with Gus from Steeda yesterday and found out that they will be offering a new engine mount this week or next. As many of you have seen the solid ones on Steeda's website I was told that there will be a similar product with urethane internals to keep the ride more smooth than with a full solid mount. They will be the same dimensions and price as the solid mounts and will provide identical performance on a car that is not completely prepared for the road coarse or drag strip. By the way, those of you who have ordered the JBA full length headers or plan to buy them be aware that the installation instructions suggest purchasing the Steeda engine mount and installing it during header installation.

Apparently there have been a few factory mustang engine mount failures during drag racing according to Steeda. The new word now is that Steeda is offering one set of engine mounts. They consist of an inner bushing set that contains 4 bushings at one time. I believe that they are made out of polyurethane and you can switch them out for either the street (red) bushings or the full race (black) bushings. Gus from Steeda told me that my interest in the mounts sparked a design change to offer the product to a larger market of cars (street/strip). The cost is $259.00.

So they want a 100 dollars more for an alternate set of bushing's! I'm going to have to call Gus at Steeda and see how easy it is to change the bushing's. You sould be able to pick one or the other IMO.

Justin, after talking with Gus today I found out that the new part is going to be the only one available and they will not be selling the one listed on their website. If you want one for the cheaper price I would call soon to get any that are left over.

I already ordered the original Steeda mounts from an online store (not Steeda). But they still haven't shipped yet, this might be why.... I hope I can still get them at 159 dollars.
