I recently installed the WMS intake, and it's run fine for a while now with no problems, so I don't know if that's contributing to the problem or not. - Also, Xcal2 w/ 91 tune, and I was running 93.

But, after driving to Ohio, and then running some arrands, I started having problems w/ my car. I was driving to put it into storage - it was raining - and the engine stalled as I was coming to a stop. The first time I thought maybe I did something wrong and just restarted and went... Then it happened the next time I came to a stop. So, I restart and go, and the next time I stop I'm sure to check that I'm coasting to the stop in neutral, and I watch the tach drop to zero, bounce to one, and then the engine shuts off. The rest of the time I made sure to keep some throttle when I came coasting to a stop and had parked it in storage hoping that when I come back everything will be back to normal. Any idea what caused this?

TIA!

Official Disclaimer for the Mod: Yes, I know I already posted this in 'Issues'. But that area doesn't get much traffic except for whtn others are having similar problems. So if you must lock a thread, please make it the other one. It got no replies, I'm looking for some help here.

If water got to the MAF, could that cause it? If it's a foulded MAF, what's the fix?

Remove the MAS and spray it with brake parts cleaner. Not brake fluid but brake cleaner You can get it at pretty much any parts store (AutoZone, Discount/Advance, etc). When you spray it on there it will remove any filter oil that may be on there. The dirt will drip off with the cleaner, and it dries instantly. Good luck John I hope you get it fixed!

Actually, you should use electrical parts cleaner, available at Radio Shack.

John, sorry to hear about this. I'd go the route with what others suggested. Disco the battery to reset the computer and while you're under the hood clean the MAF. The WMS filters are indeed very oily. Mine sat for a week and 1/2 in the box it came in before I could get around to install it and by the time I did install it an entire corner section of the box was soaked through to the outside with excess oil.

Good luck and please keep us updated.
