Squeeky brakes and rotors

I have the Brenspeed Stage 1 brake kit installed which includes Hawk pads, SS lines, and brake fluid but NO rotors. The State 2 includes the rotors. I decided to use stock rotors.

Anyhow, my brakes squeek on light braking.

I can feel concentric ridges on the stock rotors after it was machined by the shop that installed them. Shouldn't the rotors be smooth as glass?

And wouldn't ridges cause vibration which would cause the squeeking?

Generally higher performance brake pads will squeal more, until they are well heated up. You should hear race brakes!!

I bought and installed that kit a couple months ago with no problems or noises.
However, my car isn't a daily driver so I only have a couple of hundred miles on it since the change.

The pads in their kit at that time weren't Hawk pads either. I think they were called Posi Quiet.

It's the Hawk pads. They may be the best at braking...but that comes at a cost. And yes...if you had the rotors turned when you installed them than the rotors should be smooth. I am sure the Hawk pads are like most performance pads. They are harder than the rotor is. The pads will last forever under normal driving conditions but they will use up the rotors. That is also normal. Squeeking under light braking would be normal with those pads. Vibration is usually caused by a warped rotor. This comes from excess heat.
