I may cut away part of the ground electrode and index the electrode towards the intake valves.

Stock plug.

Modified plug.

This mod (should ?) result in better flame travel and combustion. I sent an E-mail to Sutton HP asking their thoughts on this mod. I'll post back their thoughts, and if they think it's worth a gain I'll do the mod and post results.

This is very interesting. I'm curious as to why Ford/Autolite made it the way they did.

Sutton HP and JPC say it's the worst plug they've ever used. They are re-machining the 3V heads to use the older plug design. I think I should find some more power here until I can get the heads done over the winter.

Doug at Sutton HP said to leave the ground strap alone. Indexing the plugs is worth a few ponys.
