Is there an FRPP one, or are you being a smartass?

Na just being a smartass, but really unless you go with the GT500 TB its "hit or miss" with the after market stuff. But is the 4-5 HP you may or may not see worth the $$ and possible frustration that will come with the TB? Unless you are over 475 with a draw through blower just run what came with the car IMO.

The one that came with the car is defective. Rather than mess w/ my dealer I was looking to the a/m for an upgrade anyways. Maybe I'll look into the GT500 one.

Is the Bullitt and/or Shelby GT running the stock GT TB?

Yup, JDM sells a kit that lets you bolt up the GT500 part.

The Ford 3V engine needs approximately 550 cfm at max load and rpm. The stock throttle body will easily fow this much. You are wasting your money.

281GT... His stock TB is defective. If his dealer is being an **** about it anyways, why not upgrade?

Knowing dealer prices, I'm guessing I'm saving money by going aftermarket.

Throw on a twinscrew s/c with 16psi and there are huge gains to be had over the stock throttle body. So if he plans on modding in the future, why not the GT500 TB? His factory TB needs replacement anyway.

Theres a post around here somewhere by SteedaGus stating the reason Steeda doesn't sell a aftermarket throttle body, the main gist of it is this they found that the OEM is more than enough and seen no tangible gains on the ones tested ! ....But the BBK does look cool!

Well if you had searched and read about throttle bodies on the forums you would find they all suck. You are better off with the stock one.
The aftermarket TBs are really problematic.
Blown applications (Whipple, KB) can benefit from the gianormous Black Diamond throttle body (single blade) but that would not work for you.

Is your car out of warranty? If so, shoot Wade a PM over at my place, I'm sure he'll give you a good price on a replacement. As far as aftermarket, stay away. I've seen very few people come away happy with the aftermarket ones. And I'm not talkin about not happy performance wise either, I'm talking about limp home mode not happy!

Your idle problem may be resolved by cleaning the TB you have. Do a search for proper cleaning procedures.

I've done all my searching for info, that's WHY I posted this to find out IF there was one that was reliable.

I've also had the TB off and cleaned several times.

It's at the dealer now... (again)... we'll see if they can get this resolved. I'd prefer to keep the $400 in my pocket - that's a lot of cheese - could be my MGW shifter.
