As that fateful day approaches, I am wondering about suggestions for small mods to boost HP or fuel economy. I will get the airfilter. Also has anyone tried the "tornado" for fuel eff and HP? Also anyone have any other little mods that are relatively cheaper, 100-200, and easy to install?

Thanks

The tornado is a joke, dont waste your money on it :notnice: . I would start out with a cai and tuner, then maybe add some underdrive pullies.

ud pulleys, throttle body spacer, cai & tune, of course, but tune is more like $450. For a cheap fun mod (no additional hp), 4.10 gears.

Edit: Oh! - electric water pump. Supposedly ~ 10 hp.

There are threads on all these things on these boards.

Are you looking for "easy"? Then I suggest CAI and a tuner. EXTREMELY simple to install... and if you have a few extra $$$ get some new axelbacks... and revel in the sound....

don't ever buy those cheap tornado gadgets, they never work, you want something like that, get a throttle body spacer!

Read my sig. I ponied up (no pun intended) and bought the Diablo Predator with the K&N Aircharger for $499 from RPMoutlet.com. HUGE difference once it's on and tuned. Stock, I didn't have to baby the clutch too much it would just pull itself out of low RPM slowly and take off. With the tune and Aircharger I have learned to watch my release point carefully or the car tends to jump. Stock you have to wind 1st then rev and drop the clutch to "****** second". I have unintentionally "barked" second several times at low RPM with the Aircharger and Tune.

PS. I bought the SLP Loudmouths for $249 and free shipping. It's not a performance mod....but once you hear the GT with them on...you WILL love it. Don't know how old you are...but it definetly has that "glass pack" sound from my teenage years. Make you want to grin and put on those big gold aviator sunglasses..

You can't change the airfilter without getting a tuner like SCT or diablo.
