Will there be any problems with inspection in CA?

Yea, $300 is rediculous for the Loudmouths - we need to do something about it !!!

I doubt it... but you don't even have to worry about an inspection for 6 more years.

I also have a question regarding the SLP Loudmouths. With me being near New Orleans and because of hurricane Katrina, the only dyno shop around me had their dyno machine flooded. I won't be able to get tuned there for months possibly. I'm going to Houston next weekend and want to hook up with a Houston speed shop to get my car dyno tuned. Is it going to affect my tune if I go and install the SLP Loudmouths a couple weeks after the tune? Should I just hold off on the tune until I get the Loudmouths put on?

I just looked through my pics, and don't have any of the rear since I put the LMs on there. Sorry.

Axlebacks won't affect a tune at all.

What does it matter if you're not paying for them? Your sig says you're a full time college student. So how did you pay for all of the other mods?

I agree that the price increase is rediculous. I bought mine for $255 shipped way back. I might need to sell them though. If someone makes a decent offer, they're yours.

 What are you trying to say? I've saved almost every single penny i've gotten since I was in elementary school, and my parents have put it into a bank account under my name...

With work, birthday money, graduation gifts, allowance, and saving a dollar here and there, I came up with the money I needed. If your implying that my parents are going to pay for the exhaust( )...they are most definitely not. I won't even let them if they WANT to.

Its my first year in college...I just started.

I have the Powerflows, I love em. The sounds real nice, and they look damned good. The install was very easy, the hardest part being the removal of the stock mufflers.

Fair enough. My implication was incorrect.

260 at RPM outlet and free shipping on all ground orders is about what I paid for mine 225 for parts + 30 for shipping. Thats a good deal IMO.

Well since SLP loudmouths are officially a ripoff and I can get a custom muffler delete for much much cheaper. I'm looking at different mufflers. I live in CA and with a custom job with no mufflers I'll never pass the visual smog test.

I was thinking, anyone have the list of axle-back kits and the gains?
I paid $209 for my custom exhaust, that was the pipes to delete the mufflers like the SLP with 4" rolled inner lip cross cut tips, that look awesome and for some reason this setup sounds much better than the SLPs I had my car next to another 05 with the SLPs and we both took turns listening to them and I got to say I wasnt too impressed with the SLPs when compared to mine, they seemed a bit baffeled and I dont know why, but my setup was cheaper and IMO look and sound better.

As far as passing the visual, save your stock ones it takes like 5 minutes to put them back on, and why are you worried about something that is about 5-6 years away anyways?

I don't know, I don't have a credit card, so my parents will be making the purchase with theirs, and I will be paying them. Gives them more reason to let me buy them. I plan on saving all of the stock parts I take off my car anyways, someday when this cars a classic I'm going to bring it back to stock.

Well I dont know about how you've got your custom set up but I like the SLP because when I go in for my state inspection (not emissions) I can easily bolt my stocks back on with minutes.

Do you have any pics of your tips? I'd love to find a set like the SLP's that have the right slash cut.

I wanted to put the PowerFlow tips on my LoudMouth kit since they look so much better, but SLP won't do it that way. (for anyone who doesn't know, the LM's have the 15* angle cut and the PF's have the 45* slash cut like the stock tips)

I have no idea why they have two differents "cuts" on the tips, but I LOVE these:
(thanks for the pic, Hwerknav. You're making me miserable.

I had the same thoughts when I switched from the PFs to the LMs. I wanted the PF tips, but the LM sound. Now, after running the LMs for a month or so, I barely even remember the PFs.

Don, Did you compare the tips to see if there was any way to use the PF tips with the LM pipes? I'm guessing they're way too short.
Do you still have them or have you already sold them?
