Question SLP Owners.....Chime In....

All those SLP Owners around PA, NJ, DE, MD, NY area.

Have any of you had problems with local law enforcement authorities in regards to "disturbing the peace" as police like to call it and been given tickets for the SLP Loud Mouths?

I have the opportunity to do an even swap of my Flowmasters for his SLP Loudmouths with a good friend of mine, he does not want the SLPs anymore because they are too loud and he hates the drone they give off. I love the sound of them, and I just want to be cautious with these Loud Mouths if i do get them.

Anyone?

I run to my parents house up near Buffalo from Virginia Beach pretty often. I have had no problems at all running through MD, PA or NY. I love the sound.

I'm also not from the area, but I have not run into any issues in Arizona. In my opinion, there is no better muffler for this car.

Oh and by the way Mr. Texas...

I live in California, we have pretty strict noise laws. I've never had any problems, but I live in a city where how loud your exhaust isn't really a primary concern for law enforcement. I get nervous when I visit family in my tiny little home town, however, never got hassled there either.

I live in northern NJ and drive daily. I have no problems but I am easy on the throttle if I see any police nearby.

I'm in Brooklyn and have yet to have any sort of problem with the sound from my SLP's. They do turn heads when doing fly bys down the block or on the highways. On my usual weekend trips to NJ I pass cops and never get bothered at the toll plazas or elsewhere.

Get'em you'll be glad you did just don't add an o/r pipe cause then it will be too loud and the drone too much. Ask Ron "94TBird" about his when he had that set up.

its kinda funny how most of the guys chiming in are not from the area when SLP is actually producing them in the central jersey shore area. Toms river to be exact.

Glad they are working out for you!!!

Maverick---

I assume you have heard a harly. Most bikes with replacement pipes are way louder than a mustang with SLP's. Hell, my yamaha with straight pipes is a lot louder than my loudmouths.
