slight thunk at take off with UCA and LCAs?

slight thunk at take off with UCA and LCAs?

since i had my bmr adjustable UCA and LCAs and subframe connectors installed, i get a minor thunk from the rear if i take off hard from a stop. it doesnt make a noise, you can just kind of feel it in the back of the car, its pretty minor. is this just due to the whole back of the car being stiffer, with the poly bushings? maybe it just wasnt noticeable with the stock squishy bushings?

Did your installer install the subframes with the cars weight resting on the wheels.. if not, there could be preload present in the chassis..

Check to see if the swaybar bolts are tightened down.. better yet.. recheck all the mounting bolts for proper tightening.

Look at the rear springs, when my installer completed the UCA install, the rear springs were slightly rotated toward the rear of the car, we adjusted the UCA so that the springs were straight on the spring perch and perpendicular to the axle housing.

Either the bolts are not tight (torqued correctly) or you have a pinion alignment problem now causing something to hit something else (most likely drive shaft).

i am thinking its probably a bolt somewhere. so it seems it shouldnt be doing this though. what is the correct torq for the LCA and UCA bolts? the subframes were done exactly according to bmr, so i doubt it is anything in the chassis. i need to get it on a lift and check out all the bolts this weekend.

Same torque specs.... 129 lb/ft

Should be the same unless BMR are using stronger bolts. I would suspect in any event the factory spec will do. Put some locktight blue on the threads before you install the nut. This will provide extra assurance the nut will stay tight.
