I was reading about people selling sway bars and cannot find if the GT comes with a front sway bar? I assumed it does? My questions are?

1. If it does, how big is it? do I need a larger diameter bar?

2. I assume it does not have a rear sway bar?

3. I plan on adding a front tower brace, but what is this rear tower brace and where does it go?

Thanks

All GTs come with OEM front and rear sway bars. Too small IMHO. Steeda makes replacement bars that are thicker - and very expensive. Both Ford and Steeda offer a front tower brace. I'm not sure, but the rear brace, since it goes from one side to the other, may require some cutting (in the trunk) of sheetmetal, so the brace can go between the towers (I might wrong on this point).

I thought they would have some type of sway bar on a sports car. I wonder how much the combo would help driveability?

Seriously,You have not even driven your car yet.Unless you plan on racing on a roadcourse with other highly modified racecars I can see no reason to touch the factory swaybars.I remove them completely for dragracing and the car still handles well without them on.Car is on rails with them on.No reason to spend money here.

your car comes with sways, front and rear. i vouch for the excellent price and performance of eibach sways, if you are interested in upgrading the stock.

a front strut tower brace does make a small noticeable difference, and a rear one (mounts from one side of trunk to the other) does too, but neither are necessary unless u got the cash lying around
