Shorter tires = lower 1/4 ET?
Or will it be the opposite? My new tires are 1 inch shorter, 25" instead of 26". So that should get me out of the hole quicker and rip through gears a little faster right? May have a lower top end speed, but lowet ET too. Has anyone noticed a difference with different size tire heights at the track? Eh.... just picking brains.

Your theory is correct. By having a lower profile tire you will effectively change your final drive ratio. Might give you a little more acceleration. Not sure what a 1" drop in height equates to in terms of gear change. Perhaps like going from a 3.55 to a 3.65 or somthing.

It all depends on your gearing, powerband and rev limit.
I know my ET is suffering with my stock 3.55 gears and 26" DR.. over my 28" stock tires. I did not need to shift into 4th with the 28" but with 26" I have to and the added shift hurts since 4th gear does not help. once I get 4.10's the 26" will help over a 28".
The other issue is that a taller tire has more sidewall so its harder to shock the tires so you can get better launchs
