So maybe the light is hard to see, but in the crazy GT500 highway video, not only does the shift light come on but there is a shift "beep" as well. That could be useful. Does anyone know if that can be activated?

That little yellow light deep in the dash isn't going to do much for your 1/4 mile times. I think it also comes on at 2000 rpm every shift. I thought shift lights in ford had finally died a needed death with the demise of the Tempo and escort.

I've got a Raptor shift light, and it works great!

And as far as taking your eyes off the road, it's not necessary if you mount it in the right place. Although mounting it in the auxiliary power port seems like a cool idea, it does not seem like optimal positioning for maximum visibility.

The boys at PMP say that it is easily visible, even in the daylight.

I took the cluster out about a year and a half ago to swap the green leds for the white ones (i like the white lights at night) and there is an LED for the shift light. I posted pics on this board of that very same led as i found it interesting that there was a shift light. I will try to dig up the pics.

It's fully programmable through the PCM. If you use SCT Advantage (available to SCT tuners and PRP users), you can change the setting.

That's a nice clean solution.

Sweet setup, but that is way too much bling for my taste. I think I'm one of very few S197 GT owners that didn't want the IUP.

I don't have it either, but I want as little clustering up my interior as possible.
