shelby GT have relocation brackets?
thats interesting eh?
i know for sure the front of the rear control arm is lower than the rear that is attached to the axle.
the FRPP springs sit lower than the eibach pro which i have.
therefore, there must be some wheel hop/launch issue as well as pinion angle not right??
i wonder...

I have the frpp springs on my '07 Gt and they alone elimited the wheel hop I had. My '05 GT had minor in factory trim and with springs and tires it was gone. The Shelby Gt does not have relocating brackets.
Also stock peralli tires (sp) are junk...

I noticed a decrease in traction after lowering my car.

While adding the adj panhard, control arms, relocation brackets, etc. Are technically required for a large drop like that.
That does not mean that is the only way to do it. Trust me, there might be drawbacks, but if there was some serious problem with lowering the car without using the brackets, ford would be using them.
My axel was off centered stock. We will see once I let the car down with the new springs what happens. I did a mild .75" drop today.

because of $$$
Ford and Roush et al are willing to let a little performance drift by as well ... works okay w/o, but better with the drop brackets, etc.

this explains why Shelby GT is slower than a GT
hello all,
this explains a lot now why the Shelby GT is like 0.2-0.3 slower than GT from 0-60. it probably has wheel hop from it being lowered and not addressing the LCAs and panhard bar...
the +19hp is not significant enough for any performance gain..

Read up, again there are MANY threads on this subject. Click the search button on top. Lowering results in the LCA's being angled upward. This not only decreases traction from a standstill, but also when powering out of a corner. The optimum setting for the LCA should be flat. Hence why you need LCA relocation brackets when you lower the vehicle.
