Shelby Five (5) Speed Shifter

Hey guys, anyone have or tryed this short shifter from shelby?

http://www.shelbystore.com/ProductDe...e=7S3Z-7210-F5

Previouly i was thinking on the Barton Shifter or the steeda one, but i like more the look of this one, just would like to have an opinion about the quality and the feeling of this shelby shifter

I believe pro 5.0 is a shifter. It's praises as the shifter of shifters to some but I wouldn't know since I have changed mine.

Yea it's a shifter. They're made in New Jersey if I'm not mistaken. Didn't mean to buck your thread off topic but it is a spectacular shifter. All billet aluminum. Poly bushings. Adjustable stoppers to prevent bending shift forks. Butter smooth shifts. They have excellent customer service too. If you like to go to the track this is the best shifter you can get. It's a little stiff to get in to 5th and reverse at first but it breaks in. There isn't another shifter I'd trust to get me down the next 1320 feet.

You realize it's covered up after you install it

You can change out the shift arm on pretty much any aftermarket shifter.

That price for the Shelby shifter is really good. Not sure about the shifter itself......though it does look well constructed in the pictures. I would imagine any brand name shifter is going to be an improvement over stock.

I just cruise in my car on nice summer days.....so I have the Hurst shifter to be an excellent product, both cosmetically and performance wise. The notchiness of the shifter gives you the feeling of playing an arcade game but only the shifts are much shorter.
