SCT Xcal II Question?

When I bought my tuner I had Brenspeed set up the tunes with 4:10 gears. I am going back to the 3:55 gears so my question is how do I change the gear ratio on the tuner? Use the parameters funtion? If that is how you do it then how do you upload it into the car? Sorry if these are dumb questions.

Plug in the SCT and go through the perameters as if you were going to load a tune, then when it asks if you would like to change the tune say Yes...then scroll down to Final Drive Ratio or Rear End Gear Ratio and chaneg it back to Stock (3.55) then save changes and Load the tune.

It would have to be either another set of the 4:10's or returning back to the 3:55's for me. I don't think there would be hardly any noticable change from the 3:55 to 3:73.

After you hit which gear ratio you want, it will take you back to the optional parameters menu. Hit cancel, and it will ask if you want to save. Select yes, and it will say press select to continue. Select, and you're off!

Well I think I did it right BUT I drove the car (still) has the 4:10's and it didn't seem to react any differently and the speedo and tach acted like I still had the 4:10's instead of the 3:55's.

I'm hoping that I just didn't load the stock tune back in and I throw a code.

Go for Motive 3.90's. Great performance like the 4.10's but better on the highway. I have them already ordered and will be installed come spring.

There was a noticeable difference in my car when I went from 3:55 to 3:73 gears. However , afterwards I did wish I had gone with the 4:10 gears. That was until I went FI and now even the 3:73 gears are a little too much ...
