Can I sell the SCT xcal 2 unit if I want to switch to the Diablosport tuner?

I'm not happy with the tune that was given to me in the SCT unit, I would prefer to order the Diablo unit which was meant to go with the C&L intake and use the tune that was created special for that setup.

Are the tuners locked to that vehicle once a tune is uploaded or can they be cleared?

You will need to flash your stock tune back onto the car, then it will be unlocked.

Selling your SCT2 for a Diablosport tuner would be a mistake in my opinion.

I would highly recommend you contact Doug at BamaChips about getting his SCT2 tunes before changing. His tunes are AWESOME, he has tunes for about all the various CAI and he sells the C&L CAI.

I have the SCT2 and C&L CAI which I purchased from him along with 3 performance tunes. I can't stop smiling everytime I drive the car.

Trust me, you will not regret trying his tunes out.

Why don't you find a better tuner for your setup or have it custom tuned?

If you want a tune specifically for the C&L intake then I would suggest Ken Bjonnes at MDmotorsports/Apten Performance. He can be found at Modulardepot.com. He has tuned the X-cal 2 for every intake on the maket for the 05 and he actually prefers the C&L because of ease of tuning. Ken is very informative and can help anyone from novice to expert level in my opinion. He has helped tune our car via e-mail since last year. He races a 4V N/A motor in a 99 GT and it runs 10.30's with a stick shift, he knows what he is doing IMO.

Cool, thanks for all the feedback guys.

I actually live about 45 minutes away from Lidio at Alternative Auto. I may have to cruise out there and get hooked up.

You sure wasted a load of bucks not going to him in the first place seeing he is in your back yard. You have not said if you car is a manual or auto. At least he can clean out your bad tunes and install something that works. Please come back and tell us what he charged to do it. I may take my car to him and I live nine hours from his location.

If I realized you were that close to him I would have told you to go there in my previous post. Sounds like he can certainly set you up with a better tune than you're running now.
