Anyone have this combo with new Evolution Performance custom tune? I have not heard of Evolution Performance before, but they are claiming 48 Rear Wheel Horsepower and 24 Rear Wheel Torque.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...Y_BIN_Stores_IT

Not a bad (buy-it now) price; also includes 2 free dyno pulls.

Never heard of them either. 48 rwhp? Not a chance. Also, check out their feedback. First item sold was a $6500 motor with a bid history that looks a little fishy to me. Doesn't mean they aren't legit, you gotta start somewhere.

Now normally I wouldn't say anything about this as I'm a fairguy when it comes to other SCT dealers but there are abunch of things that jump out at me on this one....

1.) Baseline numbers on a Mustang Dyno at 276 rwhp and 292 rwtq. A Mustang Dyno. Now if this were on a dynojet dyno I would say sure but a Mustang Dyno is known for having lower numbers then the dynojet. Most 05's I've done on a dynojet start out at around 262-270, I would say that they could hit 276 but it would have to have some pulleys or exhaust.

2.) Look at their RPM in which they are making their power on the second run, 6500rpm's and it's still going! Every GT I've dynotested has went flat if not started to drop off by 6200 rpm's. That maybe a GT but it's got to have some sort of power adder to make power past it's normal drop off point. If not then it has ported heads or just something. No ones tuning can make power beyond the flow point of a stock cylinder head.

3.) Finally the numbers, all they have on this car is a C&L and a tune. BS, 324 rwhp and 316 rwtq isn't possible from a stock vehicle with a tune.(Especially on a MUSTANG DYNO!!). Now if they said they had full exhaust, UDP, CMRC deletes, and maybe something else it's is possible, heck I've got a customer with UDP's, K&N, and my tune making 301rwhp, but not in stock trim.

Please dont take this as just calling someone a lier but this is just too much BS to me. There are too many signs, I bet even BrenSpeed would back me on this one....

EDIT: I've attached a copy of a stk program VS a 93 on a completely stock 05 GT 5-speed. This car didn't even have mufflers. I'm not saying it can't be improved upon but not to the tune of 324rwhp with tuning alone.

thanks,Doug.

I purchased a SCT2 and C&L CAI from them through Ebay. It took about 2 weeks to get my items. They drop ship from 2 different locations. They tell Superchips what tunes to install and then Superchips drop ships to you. The tunes I have are for 87-93 and 100 octane plus change the shifting parameters. The tunes were dead on. I got mine for $595.00 plus shipping. I couldnt find a better price on both units.

No way a tune and cai will make 48rwhp. No.... Way....

No other performance shop as claimed anything close to this, because it's not possible with just those two mods.

And only 5 feedback? Scam.

Of course you will not get 48 hp from a Tune and CAI but for $595.00 plus shipping I didnt find anyone who could beat that price.

I would rather buy from an honest vender, than save some bucks and buy from one that's not.

Did you say 100 octane tune? Did you buy the "racer" system? Let us know if you get a chance to dyno any tunes to prove out the numbers.

After reviewing their dynosheet yet again I've even found something else that looks funny...

Now I know I've said their peak power numbers are high but look at them in comparison to the Torque. Now it's been in my experience that the only tunes I've found that make more Hp then Torque are the ones with some form of forced Induction. Like Vortech's GT's normally make 10-15 more Hp then Tq. Most n/a V8 engine's, or all that I've done, make more Tq then HP unless you can rev them to 8000+ rpm's.

Just something else to prove my point, I think we all get the idea....

Kind of strange to me that just a CAI and a tune would raise the torque peak by 500 rpm. And also I noticed that little uptick in the torque curve right before the (high) rev limiter kicked in. I sure don't remember seeing any other torque curves kick up like that on a 3 valve 4.6. Or any other 4.6 for that matter.
