SCT vs DiabloSport

I'm gonna be in the market for a tuner soon. I understand that both the
SCT and DiabloSport tuners are high quality. I know that the DiabloSport Predator comes
with kabootals of tunes, and the SCT doesn't. And if you order from an
online tuner, (Bama or Brenspeed), they come with custom tunes for your ride.

I believe in order to hook the Predator up to a PC, you need to buy an additional
cord? And the SCT uses a regular USB wire?

But which one is more user friendly? I need something "monkey-proof" for me.

Anyhoooo, any comments or suggestions are appreciated.

I have used both. They are great products. I say if you are going to mod your car to the point where you'll need custom dyno tunes, go with the one your tuner uses. I had a Predator and switched to an SCT when I got the blower because that's what my local tuner uses. If your just using off the self tunes it doesn't matter what you pick. However, my friend who switched from an Predator to a SCT says that SCT has better tunes out the box for an automatic car. I can attest to that from driving his car before an after. It shifted much better with the SCT automatic tune.

There are several key tuning shops in the country.

The one thing that they all have in common?

SCT tuning software.

I use Diablosport. You should use whatever your local shop sells and supports.

I at first had the DiabloSport and when I got my blower I too changed to the SCT , because that's what my tuner used. Of the two I personally think that the Predator is a little more user friendly , but some else may think the SCT is. Like most have said , choose a tuner and get what they use ...

I'd go with Brenspeed. Phone them and give them the specs for your mustang including the processor code. The SCT will arrive pre-loaded and you will not be disappointed.

Our local dyno wizard uses the DiabloSport Predator tuner, so it makes sense for those of us in this area to use the DiabloSport Predator tuner, as well. Like others have said, if you're going to end up needing custom tuning for future/current mods, then pic the tuner that your shop is using. Both the SCT and Predator tuners are very user friendly, and both work very well. They are pretty much the same in their capabilities. If you get a Predator, get p/n 07145 (not the earlier 07140).
