JDM Watts Link
I just ordered two of these today 10/12/07 one for my car and one for a friends with a V6 pony. Talk to Ryan he's a great guy in sales. This unit is the same unit Saleen sells but its at the price that it should be. The only diffrence is that the arms are painted black and the "Saleen" name/logo is absent on the dif case. Malibu canyons here I come. Hey with the money you save go buy some LCA's!
I'm going to keep my Roush rear sway bar and sell the one that comes with the Watts Link.

I know I'm out of control just spending the tax proceeds, after the Carbon fiber driveshaft I'll take a breather. But you know what I'm going to process my 2008 tax prep early next year Deja Vu!

Cars look sweet!!! My car already has some suspension mods such as Eibach Springs, Tokico D Spec shocks, BMR Adj upper third link, Steeda Adj Pan Hard bar and brace, and Evolution Billet LCA's. The Watts Link will be the finishing touch along with the Saleen front sway bar and end links. Should have the cash to do it right around Christmas time.

Your welcome talk to Ryan if you have any question he's a nice guy. JDM sells these at a competative price to Saleen so I don't know if he can get you a discount but ask him anyway what the heck! In about two weeks I'll have mine installed. I want to get use to my new Roush suspension so I can feel the change. Hopfully there is a change Everyone I spoke with said this is the way to go if you like the twisties and that the diffrence is night & day. I'll post pic's of the install and maybe do a road vid! Lot's of canyons here in the earthquake state!

Why not just get a panhard rod with spherical bearings? I've yet to see any technical data that says a watts link is worth the extra hundreds of dollars and all the trouble to install. Especially if you can't choose your rear swaybar for clearance reasons.

Well for one thing the watts linkage very precisely nails the rear roll center to that pivot on the rear axle housing. With the panhard bar, the rear roll center is moving around as the chass leans. Its height is also influenced by the instant center of the rear axle UCA / LCA system.

OK, got just under 300 miles on it.
Leaving JDM in NJ, I drove a nice varied route back to Boston.
Biggest notice- Took the Tappan Zee bridge over the Hudson... with a long left hand sweeper as you enter the main portion of the bridge. You cross these expansion joints that used to wrench the wheel from my hand. All gone, except for a little nudge of the wheel- completely under control now.
Highway driving-- just cruises, even and predictable. Nice ride and it seems to smooth out the little bumps.
City- got into Boston and naviated the roads back home. Big bumps are still big bumps, but things have been "dampened" (is that the right word?). Smoother, more consistent and agreeable with my back and spine.
The car definitely squats a whole lot better now. Stock suspension except for the Saleen Watts link and rear sway.
With this mod and my new 3.73s installed, the car is poised and always in the powerband. Love it!
New track times coming soon.
