Well it's been a long few day's now, I have been busier than a cat covering up poo on a hot tin roof... I started the project on Saturday and it went very well. The instructions from Saleen are terrific to say the least. I did not remove my hood (as they indicate in the instructions) and had no problem with the install. I would have been done by Sunday but the rest of my parts from JDM (SCT, C&L Intake, 3.4" pulley etc) were delayed do to the bad weather back east... The last few day's have been spent cleaning up all the wiring under the hood including the wiring I did for the Zex set-up. I also cleaned and waxed all the sheet metal under the hood. The fuel and coolant systems are on-line, primed and ready to go. After installing the 39 Ib Cobra injectors I noticed my fuel pressure went from 40 psi to 55 psi when the ignition is turned on, which is a good thing.

The rest of my parts should be here Friday and I should be able to button her up by Saturday! It appears much taller and "ominous" in person than it does in pic's. The quality of the kit is the best I have ever seen, down to the bracketry and hardware. The pics below are during the install and not when I finished cleaning up the engine bay. I will take some more pics when I finish her up...

Nothing new this week with the KB. Still trying to find some time in my schedule to go visit Adam again. Hopefully next week... maybe.

Congrats Justin. Can't wait to see some track times. I see a roll cage in your near future!
I am still waiting for my KB to arrive and I am real anxious about the fit with the RK Sport hood. Have you tried to close the hood yet?

Awesome!!

Ha, that's so cool, like 3 of us are getting (or already have gotten) this blower installed this week. I'm starting my install after work tonight...

The RK Sport hood clears the Saleen S/C'er well. I would say about 1/2 inch or better of clearance. The KB sits an 1 1/2" or so lower than the Saleen (one reason Don W choose it to make his shaker work) so you should be in great shape with your set-up. I'm a little concerned with getting the C&L Racer tube to clear but I think it's going to work out...

Right on Clockwork's!! It's a straight forward install...Leave your hood on. When the instructions call for an alternator pulley spacer don't worry about it. There isn't one in the kit and you don't need one. Just put the Saleen alt. pulley on, then the washer and nut (w/ a little red locktite) and hit it with the impact gun (24 mm socket) and your good to go. It will line up with the other pulley's perfect. Make sure you have a fuel line disconect tool ($10 at a local parts store) you will need it. If you have any questions PM me, as the install is still fresh in my head...

The only thing that hits the stock hood on the KB is the CAI tube, but there is enough flex in it that it's not a problem. The "Shaker Peephole" pics give you an idea regarding the clearance.

Well most of the part's from JDM showed up today!! (Thanks Jim Jr.!) I hope to be able to fire her up tomorrow and see how we did. I'm going to try to get on the Dyno Saturday if I can get an appointment. I predict around 440 RWHP and 415 foot ponds of torque to the ground... Then it will be time to chase down Vette's and wipe some smerk's off thier faces...

VegasJay, if you get an appointment Saturday, let me know, I'd like to come up and watch, and check out your car. I need to schedule some dyno time for my car too, eventually, just to check my tune out.
