There are 2 places that I know of that sell it cheaper than the Saleen site. Gwinnett Ford in Georgia and Haney Motorsports. The last I looked Gwinnett was 4599 and Haney was 4550. I have heard good things about both places.

Does this price include every thing you need or do you have to get the intercooler parts seperately? What do you have to do to the computer after this or does that come with as well?

I think the Saleen kit includes everything. If you have an automatic the tune is different and there is a slightly different Saleen part number. If you do this, you should also consider upgrading your injectors as long as you have that all apart. I'm told 39lb cobra injectors would work very well, of course then you need to do you own tune /dyno etc.

I've been researching the Saleen but just can't bring myself to void my Ford powertrain warranty. Also, sending in my PCM chip to have Saleen apply their tune is not attractive - but they can't make you send it in - but you DO need a tune to run the supercharger.

I'm certainly no expert - just things I've picked up...

Here is a link to pics of an install - I found this very informative.

Jim - dreaming of this mod.

From everything I've read from many Saleen SC users is that the Saleen base tune is not a good choice, especially if you have any other mods. I second the notion of contacting JDM... they have been playing with this SC for months and know how to make it work.

It you are going to wait until next year you will have many more options. Whipple, KB and many turbo units will be availble with results for you to see. Personally I like Whipple but I am not a patient person so i went with the Saleen.

Don did you sell that house yet?

Yeah Don - from what I have seen (and I have been doing a lot of reserahc lately), the base tune is good enough to hold you over while you get the car to a dyno and a tuner and custom tune it.

I have an offer now... but it's a lot less that I was asking.

Maybe... but I have also read where a guy (with a C&L CAI) installed the base Saleen canned tune and the car couldn't be driven. It was way lean.
