So I got in touch with California Mustang. They said something to the effect "don't have any in stock so can't tell for sure - call Saleen" Lotta good that did.

but I did get an answer from Saleen. It ought to have three pieces. The bushing is part number "06-2705-C12117A". Our parts department can order one for you at 800.888.8945. and they sent me the new and improved instructions.

I installed this last night and I must say I'm very impressed with the results. I put about 10 miles on the car today and the difference from stock is amazing. It's slightly more difficult to change gears but still easier then the tri ax shifter I had in my 99 cobra. I would say it's about 80% as good at a tri ax at 1/6 the cost. Install was a piece of cake as well thanks to all the comments in this thread it only took like 10-15 mins. This is the best bang for the buck mod availiable and if you don't have it you should get it.

Yep, I can't say enough about it. This is an easy, inexpensive mod that works well.

I ordered directly from saleen.com. Took about a week to receive it.

Just ordered mine today, can't wait. I've been wanting shorter shifts since I got the car, but other things kept getting in the way. This deal was just too good to pass up though.

Hopefully I'll get it really fast and can put it on this weekend. Not gonna hold my breath though.

Looks like saleen increased the price of the shifter to $45 now. Glad I got it when I did.
It's still worth it at $45 though IMO

Yep, it's worth that in my opinion.

I bet the price increase was caused by having to rewrite the instruction manual correctly........

The new instructions suck too, IMO. Use the ones at the beginning of this site, and look on my cardomain site for more pics and instructions if you like.

This mod is definitely worth the money.

Wow, Saleen pushed the price up on this mod. Almost $55 with their shipping charges. Glad I ordered mine when I did...

I installed mine last nite before I read this. I was impressed with the reduce shifter throws, but the shift effort was much heavier. I just went out and loosened the 13mm nut about a quarter turn, and the shift effort is back to stock. A+ for this mod in my book.

For the record, I put the urethane shifter bushings in a few months ago. The new bushings are considerably harder than the stock rubber ones, but I couldn't tell a difference of any kind from the drivers seat. Save the $15 in my opinion on that one.
