Saleen blower question...

A guy near me is selling his stock blower off his 06 Saleen Extreme. Will this directly bolt up to my 08 GT?

I don't think there were any other changes except for the water cross-over. You need a conversion kit which you can get from Saleen. JDM may be able to help you out as well.

Ford changed the water cross-over in 2007. I don't know exactly what's included in the kit, but JDM or Saleen can advise you on what you need.

im looking at his kit also. im worried about him not including all the hardware. i wonder how much it would cost? all i have really gotten out of him is it comes with the supercharger, heat exchanger, injectors and he says it will bolt up. he doesnt mention the conversion or if he including everything for install.

If you're not comfortable that he's being upfront with everything he's providing, i.e., account for all parts, walk away. Nothing is more frustrating than getting a used kit and has parts missing. Yes, you can pick them up form the manufacturer, but that just puts your project on hold.

well, he said he will me pics today with everything he has. even if i do buy it, i wont be able to install it for a little while. this could give me time to find any missing parts, but if its more than just a few i will back out.

I've been trying to upload the install manual into a separate gallery but having problems. I'll keep trying so you have a list of all the parts.

Bottom line is anytime I've seen someone buy a "complete" used blower, it is always missing parts or just needing some parts replaced. Not trying to scare anyone off, and I'm sure there are people at there that have had good luck, but I could pull up many stories of people receiving their purchase and then realizing that it doesn't have everything they need once they start the install.

Then the car is down waiting on new parts, and the cost of buying some of the parts separately is outrageous and kills the savings that they had by buying it used. Again just my 2 cents.

Agreed Tom. Need to be very careful with used kits. I was one of the fortunate ones that got a complete used kit. Got it from CaliHP. Established in the forums, wealth of knowledge, spoke on the phone, etc etc. I was very at ease that it was a good deal and it was. Had I been the slightest bit nervous I would have backed out.
