Ruined my car!!There's nothing i can do to fix it

Well as some of you know i use to run brens 87 tune with no problem and i was very happy. After reading some post(well preety much about 90% of them)with the subject of running 93oct. i said **** it and did it.I was amazed!! that tune is retarted!! i loved it! After about 3 weeks of driving with it, i decided to drop it back down beacuse of the gas prices and i almost threw up when i left my garage!! WHAT HAPPENED to the POWER it had i guess after running it like that and droping down made me relize what the car really needed to go with and that is 93 OCTANE!! i ran back inside and retuned it before going to work and i will never look back again. THANKS BRENSPEED

I keep thinking about dropping it down to the 87 tune also but I know that I would be bummed with the performance. I guess when 91 octane hits $4.00 a gallon I will probably do it!

Realistically how much $$ difference is there between 87 and 93? Four bucks at the very MOST per tank? If you're worried about gas prices park the Mustang and get a Prius

Got an 07 Honda for a daily driver and it gets 35+ so I'm, not real concerned other than the fact that we are getting "hosed" at the gas station.

I also was thinking of dialing down my Bamachips tune to the 87 octane performance tune.

Gas is now $3.39 here in CA and on its way up!!! I wonder if we will see $4/gallon gas this summer...

Yes I understand it's only a few bucks per tank but when your Pony uses as many tanks as mine does...

SIGH.. what to do, what to do...

I'm getting rid of my 40 MPG Corolla for my new Mustang! I have a Sunoco within about 10 miles that has 100 Race at the pumps. Do you think I can get a custom 100 tune?!?!? I'm stilling going to get better mileage than I will in my GTO so I figure I'm still way ahead of the game!

Similar experience, except with BamaChips. Yeah, it's hard to go back to 87.

Gas prices always take a hike in the spring and fall when the refineries change from the winter blend to summer and visa versa... the media paints a gloom and doom pic every time they do that... then it settles down untill some other major disaster strikes and puts everyone into a tizzy.

I agree, a 93 tune is awesome, but the gas miliage su*ks

I guess I don't see what the problem is, other than paying alittle more per gallon.... with my mods including 4.10 gears and 303/318 at the wheels, I get almost 24 mpg on the interstate at 70 mph. Speed limits here are 60 to 70 tops....... unless you guys do alot of stop and go, it really shouldn't be that bad.

Are you saying that when you go to the 97 tune the gas mileage goes down even more? Or are you just getting on the gas that much more?

I know I will get flamed for this. But an average fill up for me is 11-12 gallons or so. I fill up every 6 days or so. About 4-5 times a month.

There is maybe a 30 cent difference per gallon between regular and 93. So what is that? 3-4 bucks a tank. 16 dollars a month or so?

If you are driving a 30K dollar car, and are dropping money on performance mods, and are *****ing about 16 bucks a month, that is a little odd.

Sorry but this is my biggest pet peeve. We all spend lots of money on our cars and mods, so what is the difference in .20 a gallon? $20-$40 a month? To break it down to the rediculous, that is 3 Beers with tip at a bar, or 1 week without Starbucks (I don't drink it but most do), or one less lunch or dinner out with friends.

i switched back to 87 for the winter (figure i dont need the power to sit in traffic/bad weather, so why bother) an i am pretty sure its in the head.

i have switched my tank back to 93, i will run both programs on a dyno and post. April 7th i am running the car.
