First, I have to say launching with drag radials is harder than it looks. My hat is off to those guys who can make it look easy. The air was bad and there was a 20 to 25 mph head wind so I only made a total of three runs. Best run was a 13.540 at 99.19. I stayed in third but it hit the rev limiter just before the lights. Best 60 foot was a respectable 1.911 but I feel there is a lot more left in it. As the man said practice, practice, practice. . . . . .

darn Boss - nice!!!
Once my silly work schedule calms down, my brother and I need to bring our Stangs up there to run with you.
(Actually, I will be out of town this weekend for work but I THINK my brother might be running Bullitt (his green drag Stang) at Moroso this weekend - the new motor is up and running... if you are there and he IS running, just go on up and introduce yourself from The Source - he'll be glad to talk to ya - and see Ruby!)

Keep the helmut handy, I am sure better times will be had later!

I highly recommend a mild increase in the rev limiter and an SCT tune.
With the two, not only does the car pull a bit better into the higher revs, but you can safely hit 6500rpm. The combination of the two allows you to cross the 1320 in 3rd gear,.

I decided to start at 22 psi. Didn't want to break something the first time out

Isn't the helmet required under 13.99?

Yes it is. I now have a new helmet that just happens to be . . . . Ruby red . . . . .

Great job Boss Hog!! Now add some gear and shift into 4th. Car will end up faster when getting it into the higher gear. The head wind hurt you for sure. Glad to see some runs on the track. Next time have some one film your launch. Have them look at the back tires from the side. Put some shoe polish on the sidewall, look to see if the tires spin 1/4 to 1/2 rotation then grabs and look to see if the sidewall wrinkles. OK sorry for the race tech. B)

Hey Boss, if you happen to be at Moroso tomorrow, my brother will be there trying out the new engine in his drag car (gate opne to maybe around 3:00). Said to stop by and say Hi... and intro Ruby....

Hey Boss, When did you get to Moroso? I was out last night and also ran my personal best-13.66 @ 103.21, 2.055-60'. The control arms have helped out a bunch, but still had a little hop right off the line. My second run, I was rev'd @ 3000 rpm and pretty much sat there burning my tires (14:00 @103 mph). No hop though. I am now looking into some drag radials just for running at the track. I want a bit more bite off the line. I'm getting my 60' times down. By the time I find some good tires, I'll have my 60 footer down.

2. First run: 6:37 pm
3. Third run: 7:09 pm
4. At home: 7:35 pm
Early to bed, early to rise . . . . . you know the rest Looks like if we could combine my drag radials (1.911 ft) with your SCT tune (103 mph), we might have one heck of a racer
