And no, it's not worth it to me. I change my oil way to often to pay high prices. Since I run my car pretty hard, I prefer to change the oil every 2500 miles. Better safe than sorry.

That would be Pea-Tear Griffin, he does that.

eh, I might as well put in my 2 centavos...

I use Amsoil, a high end brand name along with Redline and Royal, I think its worth it. I enjoy changing my own oil but I wouldnt want to do it every 2500 miles, regardless of synthetic brand, thats expensive. I change mine out every 6 months or 7500 or when I can clearly see the quality of the oil is degrading.

Yes, my car is worth the extra 15 to 20 bucks. It does make a difference. I have used it from the start with a new motor and then tore the engine apart after several thousand miles(to modify not because of problems)and it was like new inside. I have done the same with dino oil and there was sludge build up and burn deposits.
It is proven to have less friction. Less friction is less wear. Nuff said.
