I currently have the roush extreme exhaust, and just installed long tubes. Its way too loud for my taste. Does anyone know if a set of axlebacks will bolt up the the over axle pipes of the roush extreme??

The tips bolt on just like the stockers do right? I have the full mac exhaust and have considered swapping to stock mufflers or installing some hi flow cats.

 

That's a very good question to ask before spending $$$.
My example is, The GMS axle-back will only work with the GMS mufflers. The pipes, which have superior smooth bends to stock, have there own angle to connect muffler to. I'm guessing Roush tech line could answer you. If not, maybe try to put a stock muffler on. If stock will go on, then most others will too.
Sorry I don't have the exact answer for you. But, you smart to ask before spending.

Do you have cats? If you put the longtubes on and took off your cats that why it is too loud for you, no cats. Longtubes by themselves won't necessarily make the exhaust louder when compared to stock headers. Taking off the cats is what will make your exhaust louder..

 

No i have the Pypes long tube h pipe with metallic high flow cats.... The roush extreme is pretty much no mufflers just short tiny resonators, almost just straight pipes.

well the stockers do fit the roush mid pipes... so anyone want mufflers deletes with roush tips? lol

 

Are you giving the tips and deletes away or trying to sell them?

 

Let me know how the sound changes, Im thinking of putting the stockers back on mine.

The stockers are way too quiet, barely hear the exhaust with the windows up. Getting a set of axlebacks asap.

 

Sorry to hear you didn't like the roush's...I put mine on two weeks after getting my 5.0 and have never ever been happier. I hope you find something a bit more mellow for your liking :-)

 

They sound great with the stock h pipe, after that way too raspy and not deep sounding at all

 

Any drone? If so how bad?
