So this morning on the way to work I decided to time my 0-~105. In hopes of realizing perhaps whats possible at the strip. I havent summoned the courage to go to Mason-dixon dragway and attempt a 1/4 run in front of everyone . Ill have to wait until next season anyways. The roads were a bit damp but I just bogged my launch a bit and feathered out. Not really any spin. 2nd spun pretty badly but I managed a 13.43 and I hit the stop button just below 105mph(tick). Does this say anything regarding an attempt at a real strip?

Thanks

But you had the "courage" to do something on a public road where people could have been killed? :bang:

Doesn't your sig say you were pulled over for "drifting" on a public road?

Ya way to be a hypocrite. And btw this was an airport private rd.. It dead ends after about a half of mile. I've also done a few 0-60 timing's there as well. NO intersections and NO traffic since it goes into nothing. Thanks for the response though.

I just get tired of almost every one finger pointing about street racing. I believe everyone has done it at some point in time.

the answer is no a stop watch is unacurate compaired to laser timing lights, go to the track and tell us how you do. You cannot acuratly judge your spped from the speedo when a 1/4 track measures your average spped between two sets of lights at the end

just do it! It's a ton of fun. don't know how much they charge ya, only $20 where I go... not the best of tracks, but something to tell if I'm improving.

Anyway... the first time I went out I did a "burnout" with TCS on... stalled. stalled the second run in the burnout box, too. Everyone must have had a good laugh. but persist and have fun. lots of good people at the track to bs with. can't wait until next season.

That's a nice time for street 1/4 pulls.

You could always buy one of those little computers for that. I plan to get one eventually. The track is the best gauge but I think these computers are nice for getting an idea if you can't make it to the track. I don't know of them all but here are a few: AutoMeter D-PIC Escort G-Timer G-Tech/Pro

Well, your trap speed is gonna be off because its your average speed on the last part of the 1/4, not the top speed reached at the end of it.
